Situated just 7 kms (10 mins) north of Coromandel Town, Oamaru Bay is a lovely holiday bay with a beautiful beach for swimming and or relaxing and flanked by rich native flora looking out to Motupohukuo Island (Turkey Island) and other islands that inhabit the Hauraki Gulf.
There is ample public parking along the grassy verge with picnic tables, a swimming raft and public conveniences and changing rooms close by.
